AFib after ablation.

I had an ablation just before Christmas. All seemed to be going well but I have had ongoing afib since yesterday evening with my heart rate bouncing up and down and dropping below 40 for over 10 minutes. Not sure what to do. Arrhythmia nurses not available at weekends

You need to speak to them tomorrow, but if you feel things getting worse then don't hesitate to call 111 if you need help. For some there can be some AFib activity after an ablation even if it was ultimately successful, but for others a return of AFib a month or two after the ablation can be a sign that it has not worked and you will need further help , medication or another ablation. So basically you do need to contact the nurses for more investigation.
