You should call your health care provider. That happens with a lot of heart meds. Mine drops to around that level about an hour after I eat but then will go back up to 100/60 ish. Then I take a noon pill and it drops to 90/55 ish then goes back up somewhat. I take one at bedtime but don’t know how low it gets. I’m sure it’s lower when sleeping.

You need to call someone if you haven't already. If you blood pressure remains like that you need immediate care. Call an ambulance if you can't get hold of anyone else.

Hope you are ok now, please let us know, Bee

have you spoken with anyone? When they tried to increase my bisoprolol to 7.5 my bp dropped to 70/40 and I couldn’t function. I’d gone away for a few days so I phoned the BHF nurses and spoke with them and I went back to my previous dose until I could see the doctor.

I now take 2.5mg twice a day to keep my blood pressure from going to low.

If you feel OK ish why can you not see gp!

In many cases 111 IS the gp. Too difficult and often too stressful to attempt to see the gp. It's scandalous really, and surely you know that.

Well my gp sees me the same day if needed

Hi Doublef.

I can understand your fears and confusion. Without sounding a bit OTT you are entitled to put your point to whoever is prescribing the medication.

For instance I was prescribed 3 meds for lowering blood pressure and landed in A&E with a suspected Heart Attack which turned out to be too much medication said a Specialist. She dropped all 3 for 24 hours and told me to take only 1 which she chose. I was to contact my Cardiac Nurse on the Monday.

I did and she apologized but still put me on a 2nd med but a very low dose. I then saw her a few weeks later feeling better and she wanted to double the dose even though my BP was lower than I would like at 105 / 61. She said I could refuse and she would understand and I did. So far I feel ok but haven't a clue if my treatment is fine or not I just know I feel better?

When I see the Specialist next i will be raising the point of BP. and medication. The point of my reply to you is although they can be intimidating a bit like Solicitors they can be talked to if you are concerned. I would suggest you talk to your Specialist stressing how ill you feel and ask for a week or two on either a lower dose or less meds to see how you go. After all this treatment is supposed to help you not make you worse. Good luck.

Thanks and that is exactly how I feel about it

Through a process of elimination the culprit was spironolactone it's sole purpose is to reduce BP which was already low. It is pretty constant around 115/60, I have a HF nurse appointment on the 17th to confirm

I am also on blood pressure meds, and sometimes have low readings, doc said a low blood pressure is better than a high one.

I recently had a stent put in. I am two blood pressure meds but have been on another med that reduces bp: urothroxal tomorrow help me pass urine better

At around 2am I was up for some reason and felt strangely out of breath and felt lack of energy. Took bp and it was 90/50

Got concerned . Luckily I have a brother who is a doctor . So called him and he told me to not take the urothroxal tomorrow and drink warm water with salt and lemon . Also take some protein powder . I guess just to address the urgency

It is ok now . 130/80 a few hrs later

I have sent messages to my cardiologist team . Let us see what they say
