I have ischeamic heart disease, Aortic valve disease, anemia and afib. I get a lot of headaches and dry mouth. I am not sure if its the side effects to my medication or the lack of blood getting to my head. I'm on amlodipine, nicorandil, asprin furamide, and sertraline

Ischeamic heart disease
dear Alfie
In the past ten years I have had an ischemic stroke and a replacement aortic valve.
When I needed them most, the nurses and doctors worked wonders and got me through.
I too wondered if the medication was causing me problems, but it is better to concentrate on rehab rather than doubting the medication.
You can get the local chemist to review your meds or maybe your surgery has a medication expert .
My cat helped me through. Your dog will help you through.
Sooty
just to reinforce what ageingfast says.
And to ensure that you feel that YOU are in control of your body, and not your medication being in control, it might be a good idea to read, or read again, the sections of the British Heart Foundation website on diet and exercise. These might need tweaking.
I found that keeping hydrated, though not overdoing it, an occasional electrolytes top up with fizzy tablets from the chemists and making sure I did some deep breathing helped loads. Sounds a bit new age but it's just old fashioned common sense
Cheers
Hello Alfie I have aortic Syenosis last Ecocardiogram show the condition had progressed to chronic whereas last year is was Severe. I don't get any of the symptoms the cardiologists is saying I should have. Until last week I was on amlopidine 10mg for high blood pressure but he told me my GP should put me on a different drug for my blood pressure as amlodipine was not the best drug for my aortic valve condition. I also take Furosemide 40mg dailly and 2.5mg of Bendroflumethiazide I won't start my new BP drug till next week. I also have Periphoral Arterial Disease which gives me a lot of leg pain.
