sleeping a lot daytime

I had a heart attack March 2023 and 3 stents fitted in an emergency procedure. The first year passed in a blur of exhaustion. Since then a new normal has set in. However since beg of this year I find I am back to sleeping a lot during the day. I will be 80 in April. Is it age or heart ? Anyone else find similar happening?

hi I’m 68 and sleep a lot most afternoon and in the evening and can still sleep at night but I think it’s the medication I’m on so you are not alone

Thx for taking time to reply. I’m on 12 pills each day so maybe that’s the reason plus age! Take care.

I had a NSTEMI HA with three stents needed Easter 2024, I’m 48 and I am struggling with sleeping during the day. I work part time and have to have a nap as soon as I finish work.

i am 78, had 1 stent and am on usual meds. I find it very easy to sleep for a hour or more in the afternoon, especially if i have been out in the morning. I have learnt to enjoy it!

Like you I had 3 stents in July 24 and can doze of more now. Some say that Bisoprolol can cause this.. fatigue and sleepiness....zzzz

I would'nt worry about it! Having procedures done to your heart will do this to you. I would count myself lucky to be able to sleep anyway, the longer the better, sleep is a rare thing in old age!
