hello

I’m just looking for advice, for the past 2 weeks my blood pressure has risen to 144/84, I’m on nebivolol, dapagliflozin, ramipril and Lercanidipine and it has been stable for over a year, do I go to my doctors or phone the heart failure nurse ?

you need to speak to whoever is going to see you first. Try 111 to start with. They can have access to your medical, records.

contact you gp, 144 isn’t excessively high. They may want you to home monitor it for a week. I gather you already taking your bp at home?

Thank you for your reply, I have a bp monitor and do keep an eye on it, it’s normally about 114/76

Lucky you, mine is sitting around 105/75, bit low for my body. Before changing pills it was at 138 , they didn’t seem to be too concerned.

I don’t know how old you are, but my GP said they like people of my age to have an average systolic BP of about 134, which surprised me. I am 73 years young.

I’m a baby at 67. Low bp sux! Plus dapagliflozine blood sugars dip out. On 9 medications total. Inc gtn if needed and warfarin.

Remember bp fluctuates during the day. Do 2 in morning about 1 min apart, make sure they are fairly close, if not repeat after a min. Then same in afternoon around tea time.

Hi mine has been 140/145 for years. On all sort of meds, sometimes it goes down to 117. I don't tend to get worried about is as anxiety only makes it worse. Also, don't overdo the BP readings. is my advise given by my cardiologist.

Not what you're looking for?
