Just lately I have been getting chest pain along with a headache, the headache is a new addition I find when I use the Gtn spray it relieves the chest pain which I expect but it also stops the headache, has anyone else found this.
Not sure if the headache is connected with the chest pain but I’m glad the Gtn helps. Should I be concerned with the headache ?

Thank you for your reply, I get the headache along with my unstable angina, I never used to get the headache. I wondered if the headache was something to worry about seeing as the GTN gets rid of both not cause the headache.
Thank you Milkfairy , I have been told that I probably have small vessel disease so maybe there is a connection with this headache. Fortunately the GTN is working with the headache and mostly the unstable Angina, I do occasionally end up in A&E with the pains but that was before the headaches started. Many thanks for the information.
This cold weather is extremely unpleasant but I do take all the precautions when I go out and I use my GTN spray when needed. I am lucky enough to be able to keep my home nice and warm. I haven’t told my Dr or nurse about the headaches. If I find they are getting more regular I will mention it to my Cardiac Nurse who I find more helpful than my Dr.
Thank you for your reply Alfie. I'm lucky I've never got headache with taking the spray in the 7 years I have been using it. I had my first heart event in Spain and they gave me the under the tongue pills which didn't act quick enough for me. When I returned to UK they gave me the spray which was my saviour.
The GTN takes my headache away along with the chest pains.
Thank you for your reply. The GTN gets rid of the headache after I've sprayed the GTN the headache goes along with the chest pain. I am lucky not to get headache with using GTN or the Isosorbide mononitrate.
