its been a week since my ablation for an atrial flutter and atrial tachycardia. Since the procedure I've taken ken it easy to allow my groin to heal. Its believed the onset of these arrhythmia is the cause of my severely dilated LV and low EF which is 32%
Yesterday I attempted to take an ECG on my Kardia, a couple came back unclassified , one came back as Afib but most came back Normal Sinus Rhythm. I've sent them off to my cardiologist but I'm I assuming this is to be expected so soon after the procedure.
I attempted a mile walk yesterday which went well.
Today I attempted a 750 metre swim which also went well but am aware of occasional palpitations after swimming.
I'm still feeling optimistic after the procedure and hopeful that my EF will improve.
Does anyone have similar experiences?

Hi, yes it took me, 8_10 weeks I had flutters until my rythmias settled. Enjoy your exercise and take plenty of rest & recovery, be kind to yourself. You will know if you go back into AFib.
Hi, I'm 6 weeks on from my ablation. You are doing well to go swimming. I find I had a lot of discomfort in my groin area. Especially when sitting on the floor and getting up. Even now I'm getting some discomfort like something sticking in to me. I know it takes several weeks for the plug to dissolve so I'm guessing it's that. All the best to you and I hope your procedure has worked. Like you we will find out after 3 months. 🙂
I did a lot of research post Ablation on the procedure but never looked into how they accessed the femoral artery and didn't realise there was a plug to seal it, which makes perfect sense now. The majority of my swimming was front crawl but I noticed a slight pain doing breath stroke in my groin which was most likely the plug. Maybe I'll ease of a bit.
