i had an ablation on 1st July as i was having too many ectopic beats (30,000 a day) which after 4 years of normal heart function it finally affected my heart function (EF 38%) i had the ablation in july then Echo in august last year showed 53% EF and Echo in July this year showed EF 62% with no scarring/ no dilation anywhere and everything normal size.
i have never had any symptons apart from the last 2 months where i feel breathlessness everyday for around an hour, and especially after exercise i am breathlessness for a good 30 minutes. i am wondering what this could be all of a sudden if my latest echo showed 62% EF?
Thanks all

I’m sorry I can’t help with your query however, have you thought about whether your meds have had a part to play in the breathlessness?
Perhaps speak to your GP about further investigations to rule out other causes that are not related to your initial diagnosis of heart failure as well as it could be a separate issue going on.
I hope others with HF come by to help with your query.
Hi thanks, I did wonder that but I have been on same tablets for 12 months now and this only started two months ago, if my EF is now 62% and everything else normal and always has been normal apart from drop in EF I wonder if it could be something different,
Definitely speak about this change with your cardiac team if possible or with your gp in order to be referred back to the cardiac team that was taking care of you.
Any consistent and long lasting changes are better getting checked over. Have you had a recent bad cold/flu or infection which might cause a temporary breathlessness? I’m asking because my cardiac capacity changes a lot once I’m under the weather.
2 Months? That exactly coincides with the extremely high pollen levels. Lush vegetation caused by lots of rain, sun and warmth stirred up by the wind. Certainly not helped by Local councils no mow policy which is causing many problems for people not previously troubled with hey fever or asthma.
Type in 'pollen levels' for whatever town you are in and you will get the results. also check when it rises and peaks. That could be the cause of your breathlessness
