Does anyone have chest soreness for hours? Is this part of angina? Not painful or even a heavy feeling - just more of an awareness of your chest and feeling tight when you take a breath in. (At rest).

angina
I get the same, it’s never enough for me to be really worried. I’ve never taken myself off to A & E. I had a CABG 12 months ago and I’ve had this discomfort following that, not regular, maybe once or twice a week, I just thought it was the healing process, but 12 months later? Mine is right in the central sternum area. Sometimes I think it is just indigestion! I’ll bring it up at the next checkup and see what is said
I'm the same, had a heart attackfive years ago and had three stents. Made a quick recovery with absolutely no problems until the start of this year. I started to get chest heaviness, feels like congestion - not painful as such but pretty much as you describe and can just 'come on' and last for hours. I did go to hospital a few times and they didnt seem bothered but then a couple of months ago they gave me another angiogram and found my arteries were clear and concluded my chest discomfort/pain is due to narrowing of the smaller veins. I haven't been diagnosed but suspect I have Microvascular angina. Knowing my main arteries are clear has really helped as it has reduced my anxiety considerably. I found that worrying about my heart and the chest pain made it a hundred times worse. Hope they can get you sorted!
that’s a yes from me. Had Cabo. X3 aug 23. I get exactly as you have described and they recently said it’s like angina but relates to micro vascular issues causing strain. Put me on isosorbide montage daily and a GTN spray as required
It has made a huge difference for the ‘bad pains’ but I do still get the ‘ache pains’ as you have described
They have checked all they can and no concerns… so basically ‘move along’ 😁 I wish you well and rest when your body wants you too
I get this too from time to time, most commonly after I have overdone exercise (I run and walk) but it can randomly occur at other times too. Like you it can last for hours and sometimes even days before it just disappears again. I have been to A&E in the past but they couldn't find anything wrong and gave me isosorbide mononitrate which I continue to take. So I don't go to A&E with it any more. I've also discussed this with my cardiologist who sometimes says my symptoms don't make any sense or at others times simply says I'm 'atypical'. But he doesn't think I'm in any danger from this so I just keep taking the tablets and exercising as much as I can. Reading various posts on here I do wonder if it's vasospastic angina but my cardiologist has actually never mentioned this to me.
