I had a pace make fitted end of July 24, everything fine at first except I noticed an increase in burping, also getting out of breath very easily when walking or doing slight exercise, but in the last few weeks have noticed a lot of fluttering and slight palpitations around my heart. Went for my first check up at the pacemaker clinic a week ago, told them about the problems and they made an adjustment to help the breathlessness, they did not seem worried about the other problems, sine the check up the fluttering and palpitations have got worse, went to see my doctor in case it was a severe case of indigestion, they have increased my lanproasol but still experiencing this strange fluttering, it does not start until about an hour after taking my blood pressure tablets, but my doctor did not think it could be this as I have been on the same dose and tablets for some time. Any advice would be helpful

I would ask doctor to change the meds.

I have a different heart condition but I found that certain medications were working against me and causing breathlessness. Lots of alternatives to try.

Hi, im on my second Pacemaker after two years of having the first one fitted. The first dual pacemaker fitted back in July 22 caused pacemaker desynchronisation of the ventricals and caused me to have, shortness of breath, fatigue, low energy, erratic heartbeats and a feeling of weakness in my lower half then I developed AF.

After getting my dual pacemaker fitted I attended the pacemaker clinic on many occasions, they made various adjustments which made little difference and at times my symptoms got worse.

After 18 Month my gp requested a BNP blood test which measures the amount of BNP in your blood to help diagnose and monitor heart failure this turned out to be 3x higher than normal and I was sent for a echocardiogram which showed a low EF and desynchronisation of the ventricals, I was then diagnosed with pacemaker induced cardiomyopathy and ended up being referred to the heart failure nurse and being prescribed various meds

I had a upgrade to a biventricular pacemaker 7 weeks ago and due to have a cardioversion shortly to hopefully resolve the AF which is currently knocking chunks out of me.

Not saying that your issue is the same as mine but I would ask for a echocardiogram to check your EF or a medication review as my meds upset my stomach causing bloating and belching.

Best of luck 👍
