Anyone had a CABG and then moved permanently to Spain

I’m awaiting a CABG, won’t be for 3 to 4 months.

I’ve been retired for several years, my original retirement plans included moving to Spain and to this end we purchased a property.

However as life throws up curved balls our plans changed, grandchildren and now elderly parents became our priorities so we put everything on hold.

Our intention is still to retire to Spain as we spend around 3 months a year there now and we have made a life there.

I am well aware that the Spanish healthcare is first class and that friends and people who have received care speak highly of the service.

However I’ve never come across anyone who has had bypass surgery and moved to Spain so I’m curious if anyone is on here who has and was the transaction smooth especially if they used the S1 to transfer to state system.

following as I’ve had 3xCABG and looking to moving to Spain when I retire (March 26). I went on holiday to Portugal last summer and felt 100%, swimming half a mile everyday. I would transfer my S1 out there as well
