I am told that Chemo in 2007 caused my HF and AF, it just means the heart is not pumping as well as it should. There various meds to help. Discuss with your Cardiologist for peace of mind.

speak to your cardiologist or cardiac nurse as everyone is different and it depends very much on your own situation. I’m 69 and had a quadruple bypass but followed advice and cardiac rehabilitation. I’m now fitter than most people my age and could live out a normal life span . I have a very positive mental attitude. Others who have gone through the same thing are sat on the sofa going nowhere. My advice would be to be proactive and ask the medical team what you can do to help yourself and what do they see as the way forward . Good luck

Hey tubbsy, I have never had cancer but the advice you have been given so far is from people who have experienced both as you have. From a heart failure perspective the advice you have been given is excellent advice from real experts who have and are living it. I fully agree with all of it. That's how I got better through doing and have positive attitude xxx

Hello, yes speaking to the cardiologist or heart nurse is good advice as everyones circumstances are different. I was diagnosed with heart failure in feb 2022 and it was completely out of the blue and a shock. Things have improved greatly with the right medication and I've returned to work, which is something I didn't think I'd be able to do. I've taken on board what the cardiologist and heart failure nurses have said and tried my best to implement it and also asked them lots of questions
