thank You to all who responded to my other post for your tips, advice and encouragement as well as experiences.
I had my one week review this morning once hospital downloaded data from the machine. They said it was mainly showing about 1 abnormal breathing event per hour - down from my 14 per hour average. Only first week but nice result.
They saw very little issue in the data regards leaking air so although I experience hissing etc it was within reasonable limit.
I get to keep the machine for the foreseeable and also picked up a from hospital a humidifier attachment (dry mouth) and heated tube (cold air coming out) as they said would help. Then can see if need alternative mask.
I’m very chuffed with first week and long may it continue 🤞🤞🤞I think too early to tell with the fatigue / tiredness as I’m absolutely cream crackered today, plus angina making its presence clearly felt but I have been busier than usual.
If the sleep apnea can be under control and I eventually get a good nights sleep (not there yet), then if I’m still tired in the day then have to accept it’s the heart all other things being equal. Can’t win them all.
thank you all again.
❤️

Sounds like some progress is been made and I am so pleased to read you are feeling better than you were
I hope they do get the sleep sorted out as a good nights sleep is so vital as you know in how we feel but from how your appointment went and what they are doing I think that good nights sleep will happen
Hi Fanfab, My partner has had a CPAP machine for just on a month now with similar excellent results to you. His initial sleep study showed up to 70 pauses in breathing every hour and an occasional O2 level drop to 69%!!
The 'events' are down to an average of 3 per hour this week and he wakes up feeling much more refreshed.
Just need to sort his other stuff out now
Wishing you all the best and many hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Hello That's fantastic news I'm so looking forward to having a good night's sleep, I'm just waiting for a date to collect my machine. Good luck to you both .
That’s good to hear, I’m currently experimenting with the cpap as I think it’s doing the job it’s supposed to, I’m just having a few niggles with settings. Going to give it a bit longer then see if I can get a nasal mask to try. But it’s only been six weeks. Although I think there has been improvement in energy levels! 👍
