I am about to purchase a hybrid petrol/electric new car and wondered if anyone had investigated the effects of driving a hybrid car with an implanted defibralator.
There is some research done on electric cars and pacemakers but no significant risk was reported. The advice I read was to stay informed and take precautions.
I have a CRT-D and I’m getting an hybrid car. I can’t see a problem. I’m surrounded by electricity in my home and I’ve been driven around in petrol cars for years.
Ive had an electric car from new but changed to plug in hybrid as we needed to tow a caravan! Not sure about the implant though but surely some one else will know! I love the car too.
