Hybrid Electric car & ICD

I am about to purchase a hybrid petrol/electric new car and wondered if anyone had investigated the effects of driving a hybrid car with an implanted defibralator.

There have been studies as per ; escardio.org/The-ESC/Press-...

This has certainly given me the confidence to go ahead with buying, however nothing has been studied/reported about hybrid vehicles.

There is some research done on electric cars and pacemakers but no significant risk was reported. The advice I read was to stay informed and take precautions.

I have had an EV since June 2020. I got my pacemaker in February 2022. Have driven more than 10,000 miles since with no effect whatsoever.

If a full electric causes no issues why should a hybrid?

As Scotsman53 says , if a battery car is deemed safe then a hybrid/ petrol and battery is no different.

I have a CRT-D and I’m getting an hybrid car. I can’t see a problem. I’m surrounded by electricity in my home and I’ve been driven around in petrol cars for years.

Ive had an electric car from new but changed to plug in hybrid as we needed to tow a caravan! Not sure about the implant though but surely some one else will know! I love the car too.
