Toxic Whey

I have had many Takasubo heart issues and I think the cause is whey protein. Everytime I invest even the smallest amount I have a major melt down and nearly die. I looked it up and oh boy. Stay away from whey. Has anyone else had an issue with health after ingesting it?#heartissues

I am a long-standing member of another online support group specifically for people who have been diagnosed with Takotsubo

two things intrigue me about your post the first is that you say you have had many episodes - have you had further investigations into why you have had so many?

the second is to wonder why you are taking what powder?

Are your repeat events due to takin g whey protein supplement?

If you are purely wanting to put on weight there are other supplements available in pharmacies such as Complan and Ensure.

I you are after muscle then it should be lean protein such as chicken and fish, lots of fresh veg and exercising those muscles.

The protein supplements are IMHO rubbish. I know someone in his forties. He got into body building in the gym and followed the protein supplement route. The protein overload wiped out his kidneys and he has had two transplants as the first failed. He is now more frail than muscular.

Thank you for your reply. It has happened a couple times from protien shakes but also when it's in food. I just realized whey is in everything.
