12 months since my ‘funny turn’

Well that’s been quite the 12 months! Exactly a year ago on August 16th 2023, I had an ‘episode’ that changed the trajectory of our lives. It was what can be described as a ‘funny turn’ and one that made me pick up the phone to the GP. A visit to the Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic, a CT scan, diagnosis of angina, a consultant appointment, a cocktail of drugs, an angiogram, outpatient appointments, a surgeon’s appointment all led to open heart surgery for a triple bypass on March 30th this year. And now I’m in Aberdyfi, Wales - one of my favourite places - and I’m sitting with my favourite person reflecting on what has been quite a year. I’m finally beginning to feel like myself again and the sea air is putting colour back in my cheeks! I couldn’t have got through it all without the emotional and physical support from some very special people. Also, if something doesn’t feel right, don’t put it off. Speak to your doctor as soon as possible! ❤️‍🩹

Your Holiday in Wales sounds lovely and I like the fact the sea air is bringing color to your cheeks :-) x
