I'm not going to suggest specific questions but I do suggest that if you don't understand what your doctor explains you should ask them to explain again, in a different way - sometimes they use medical words we don't understand so make sure they use words you understand
one thing you might want to ask is whether there is anything you can do to prevent the borderline situation from getting worse
I also have moderate aortic stenosis and have been told that a diminished left ventricular ejection fraction can aggravate moderate aortic valve stenosis and to watch for symptoms of fatigue and shortness of breath. Also it's recommended to be followed by both the cardiologist and a cardiothoracic surgeon, the goal being to get appropriate timely treatment and not just wait for the stenosis to become severe. Close followup of aortic stenosis is key and it's important for us patients to know what symptoms to watch for. Your GP will further advise you. The cardiologist will prescribe appropriate medications, if needed.
you might take someone with you to write down, or at least hear, what doc says in case you get a bit flustered (that’s what I do anyway!)
Thanks Happyrosie, good advice , right phoned DR for a appointment this morning I was told my results had not arrived yet, so phoned the consultants secretary to ask if they could forward to my surgery, was told they had been sent they were on the portal, but the secretary told me the consultants registrar was back from annual leave and she had a word with him and fair play he came on the phone to me and put my mind at rest was told the numbers were pretty much the same as last year and they had a bad angle on my ventricule but he assured me that it was v good and nothing to be concerned about and they will be sending for me in about a year's time for another echo which I found very reassuring ,and happy the way it was dealt with I could not fault the secretary or the registrar, also I could not have been happier the response I had of this wonderful forum and it's people, Thank You
