New to BP meds

Iv had elevated BP for a while. Then started with migraines and slurred speech. Doctor put me on Ramipril 2.5mg and sent for MRI.

MRI showed Lesions so waiting on Neurologist apt. even though its an urgent apt., could be weeks/months. Could be MS/Small vessel disease.

I'm worried I have dementia onset....

I'm now been put on Ramipril 20mg and Lercanipine.

Lercanipine started on 10mg now up to 20mg.

Bp still quite high.....

since being on Lercanipine I am feeling really unwell.... cannot explaine it any other way.

Has anyone else felt like this on these meds.,

I’m sorry you’re feeling poorly. It’s i possible for us , I think, to say whether the medicines are causing or worsening your symptoms. You might find someone here with your exact medical and family history, height and weight and on the same medication but with different outcomes……..

Perhaps you should concentrate on what the things you CAN influence, such as your diet and lifestyle.

Hi .I was told that 10mg of Ramipril is the highest dose.
