Painful fingers and Achilles tendons
I have changed from 80 mg artovastatin (gave me long list of side effects) to 40mg Pravastatin (felt similar after a week ) now on 10mg Rosuvastatin which is agreeable and giving good lipid numbers 👍🏻.
That’s good to hear , I am nearly 6 months after my stent was fitted and havnt had any blood tests or advice from my revered doctor, rang the hospital 3 times this week to be told someone will call u back… still waiting, it’s not ideal but trying to get some info so I can decide what maybe statins I need to try , not ideal but the back log in the nhs is pretty bad by the looks of things !
you could have a chat with your dispensing pharmacist or the pharmacist attached to your doctor’s group of surgeries (if you are in the UK). Armed with more information from one of these you might then approach your doctor.
hi,
I have exactly the same issues since i started taking atorvastation.
Achilles every now and then (very painful and literally i hard can go to work)
And finger joint pains in the mirning. Mostly thumb and point finger
Sorry to hear about ya side affects , Been on these statins since November but only started a month ago , mines the same fingers worse in the morning and ankles anytime a stay still for a while then try to walk, getting nowhere with the nhs havnt even spoke to a specialist in the last 6 months, tried 3 times this week to speak to the hospital only to be fobbed off with someone will call u back !!!! Trying to get some good info so to make some informed choices on which statin to try next
