Hi, I am on a range of medication for Heart Failure. Consultant has just doubled my Eplenerone dose from 12.5 mg to 25 mg per day. Has this been recommended for anyone else? and can anyone shed light on why this change? Consultant talked of ‘optimising’ the medication regime.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Hello I take 25mg used to be every day but Heart Nurse felt it was lowering my BP a little to much. So kept on the 25mg but one every other day seems to work OK. I also take Entresto, Bisoprolol, along with all the other HF meds. Just checked my BP it is 111/50 with a Heart Rate of 48, on my BP recorder it is showing my HR is Erratic caused by Ectopics so all the meds don't sort out everything lol

Regards

optimise is their favourite word.

I was pit on 12.5 of a similar drug plus daploraflozine(it’s another diabetic used for heart conditions and diabetes.)
