I have moved from 25mg eplenerone to 50mg. My sleep quality declined radically. Has anybody else experienced this? If I move back to 25mg does the sleep improve immediately?

Hello :-)

I have not been on this medication but presume your Doctor or Consultant has put you on them and wanted you to increase the dose ?

If they are affecting the quality of sleep talk with your Doctor :-)

I hope you manage to sort it out and let us know how you get on :-) x

Hi Gingy. I have been on 25mg eplerenone with no suggested change in dose since my incident 9 years ago. I take mine after breakfast with most of my other medication other than those on two tablets a day and a statin which I take in the evening. I regularly wake around every 3 hours to have a pee which was an immediate change for me as soon as I went on medication and possibly due to the diuretic effects of eplerenone. Not sure what you are experiencing as a decline in sleep quality. Hopefully it was explained to you why your dose has doubled and worth discussing a change in side effects with your doctor.

That is interesting. Thank you indeed for writing at such length.
