Ezetimibe

I have recently been prescribed Ezetimibe 10mgs along with other drugs following my quadruple bypass. I seem to be getting pains in my legs and am wondering if this is the effect of this drug. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I take Ezetimibe plus Atorvastatin and fortunately do not appear to have any noticeable side effects from either. However if you are getting pains in your legs and take a statin that could be a statin side effect. So if you are on statins I suggest you go back to your GP and discuss this, and that applies to any medication induced side effect. Certainly there are several statins to try and if statins are not for you as in you are intolerant, there are other forms of medication which are available.

yep - I think other drugs were causing this as well but with Ezetimibe I got further calf pains and issues. It was the only additional new drug I took and stopped when I stopped taking it. Make sure you tell your Doctor if you are going to stop

I think you must give it a chance, I had pains in my legs taking ezetimibe for a week or so, let it settle and been on it for a year now with no pains.

Good luck

I have been taking the same for about a month. I've had one or two aches and pains and feeling sick but my doctor says that should all disappear as the body adjusts. Read the side effects in the packet or online.
