possible familial cardiac problems.

Update for my hubby.

Well he had his second stage 2 stent angioplasty today, 8 weeks after his HA and first 2 stents.

He still has severe left ventricular dysfunction but is feeling more positive at last.

He’s even got dates for cardiac rehabilitation too.

After a rough couple of months, both emotionally and physically for him, but we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. But, it’s been a rough week as his 36 year old nephew died unexpectedly on Saturday morning. Normally fit and well, he collapsed and died following his morning run, a complete shock for our family. We now believe this may be a familial cardiac problem, as my hubby’s sister (nephews mother) also died suddenly a couple of year ago.

Are there any genetic tests that our family need to do to exclude congenital problems?

There are tests that can be done. Why not have a word with your husband’s cardiologist about it? Always good to have your worries put at rest.
