When I had my first collapse in November I injured my right knee, and after my second collapse it got banged some more. No major damage, other than a cut some mild bruising to it...However since then whenever I am cold or hot the knee area turns bit purple in colour...but back to normal once more stable temperature..had a Google but didn't really find anything conclusive tbh...anyone had this or similar or any ideas what could be the reason?

NB just been for walk outside, it's pretty cold here today, and my hands went more purple as well, but also back to normal within few minutes inside again.

As it soon goes back to normal I wouldn't worry. Health anxiety is worth avoiding...

There are some circulation conditions that exhibit similar symptoms to yours so it might be worthwhile consulting your GP. But if you don't think its serious enough to do that, I suggest you forget all about it.

It’s still surface blood vessels . Also as we get older skin is thinner , or less fat . Cold weather . Have a good google and you will understand totally . No need to worry .

I too have purple knees in the cold or the hot. In a hot bath, two purple blobs under water. No injuries to knees ever - well, odd bashes as everyone has. I was told it was because I was getting old, and it was just one of those things. So, no, I dont think it is anything to worry about. Hope that helps.

Maybe we should start a purple knee club, but I think we may be overwhelmed with members!
