If you are having to pay for warfarin, an anticoagulant, on prescription and it is the only medication that you take, why not talk to your GP about a switch to low dose aspirin, an antiplatelet, which can be bought over the counter for considerably less, and does a similar job in preventing blood clots, although of course that may not be medically possible.

Aspirin is an antiplatelet and is not the same as an anticoagulant and does not prevent blood clots. Aspirin alone is not a safe guarantee unless used together with certain drugs to stop blot clotting.

l would have a talk with your GP or Pharmacist. I believe there are certain benefits etc. that you can claim and prescription exemption. I think it depends on your diagnosis.
