Does anyone know the answer, I have been out of my tamulosin for 4 days, I ordered my meds last Thursdays and have as usual another 2 weeks worth but on Saturday I realised I had not any tamulosin, on going to pick my meds up today I was told they wouldn't be available until tomorrow morning so I asked if they could give me a box of the ones I had run out of but was told they aren't allowed. So, I'm wondering what happens if the meds that people are of ( cos accidents happen ) were life threatening, where can we get them from ? Luckily tamulosin only makes life difficult especially as a lot of public loos are closed. Anyone know the answer please ?

I would have thought if you were a regular at the chemist then as long as you had ordered them the chemist would be allowed to lend you at least a couple to tied you over. Regards Sheena x

I have been a regular for 15 years and the meds were ordered last Thursday but still they wouldn't. Yet last year in Spain I ran out of statins and went to a chemist on the off chance and had no trouble buying over the counter and only paid €1 for a months supply of the same brand, certainly strange attitude here !!! Thanks for your reply

I'm really sorry about the service you have been given. I work in pharmacy for at least 15 years, there's always a way round these problems. Sheena x

Sorry to hear your pharmacist was unhelpful. My independent will always advance five days worth although I expect this might not apply with a controlled drug like Tramadol.

From experience you may have issues with the chain that doesn't sell shoes! 🤣🤣🤣

My chemist often does this for me usually because gp surgery hasn't sent over. I would have rung gp whilst in chemist and got them to send script over stat and then chemist can do their job.

Dear suzukisj410,

This has 'happend' to me, admittedly with different Drugs (some far more Restricted), a few times- in the twenty-three years that I have been On them. The Pharmacy CAN 'advance' you some, so long as they are confident of a Prescrition. The 111 Service can arrange for a Doctor to Prescribe a Weeks Worth.... I HAD to Have this, two weeks back!

Incidently don't 'knock' the 111 Service, they ARE generally speaking, very good indeed. My Mother needed an Urgent Appiontment, with her then Surgery once... having got 'nowhere', with the Receptionist, she called 111. The Surgery called back, with an Appiontment, later that day. My Mother, having now 'Moved', has joined 'my' Surgery- even with the same Doctor.... copy cat!- but I'm actually Very Pleased, that she finally 'got in'.

I rarely 'go', to the Doctors, unless they 'Call' me, as I Order my Drugs 'On Line'- through Evergreen Life. (I just 'log in' and select, from my List, what I need. I can also request additional Drugs, in the 'box' at the bottom.)

I know that at the Moment, 'things' are akward, but can you not- at least try- to see your GP. Explain to Him/ Her your 'situation' and maybe see IF you can get an Emegency Plan, in place. It is surely Worth A Try and you never know..... Else, as I have already said, ring 111.

In any event, I know that we ALL send you our

Very Best Wishes

Thanks Andrew and 3 cheats Ive had the meds now for 2 days and it's such a relief to get up the 4 to 5+ times a night and get quick relief and not have to wait several minuets for a result 😁. Sorry if I'm so explicit but it's like talking to family on this forum 👍

Hi I have had huge problems getting immunosuppressant, I can't afford to miss one dose, the gp I had for 54 years refused to prescribe, making me change doctors, because I am a new patient they won't allow me to have a repeat online, even though I have to take them for the rest of my life, I ordered stuff by phone, they never actioned it, eventually they sent an emergency script to chemist, they didn't have any, it took a week and I was doubling up half doses, so stressful, they only prescribed 10 days, I worry all the time about running out, it scares me what would happen char
