My cardiologist changed my anticoagulant form Edoxaban to Apixaban a few weeks ago as I was having digestive issues on the former. (He also doubled my Flecainide which is leading to constipation but I guess that’s a different issue 🤦♀️)
Anyway - I have started quite suddenly with very painful joints in my fingers which comes and goes and wonder if it might be the Apixaban or whether it is some type of arthritis or gout.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

Hi, I take Apixaban, have done so for the last 9 years. I have problems with some of my joints anyway but I have never had problems with painful finger joints and I wouldn't say taking it has made things worse. I also take Flecainide. Perhaps have a word with your GP if its causing you problems.
