I had angiogram Thursday, found I need bypass 😩. Generally all feels ok, but I have a kind of ache in chest, more like indigestion than angina, doesn’t change with exercise and is in a different place to angina. Is this normal, and do I need to get it checked? Thanks

post - angiogram ache
Hubby just had an ache which turned out to be a heart attack, which they found with a blood test with troponin level of 500. Have you had a blood test?
Not since the procedure.
I had a slight ache after the angiogram and an ache after having 2 stents and then a further two 6 months later, you would have been hooked up to an ECG as I was so any problem would have shown up at the time, I found that any slight ache causes stress, you always think the worse, but it’s probably just a post procedure ache. If you can get online have a look here nhs.uk/conditions/coronary-...
relevant advice from that NHS website is
You may have a bruise under the skin where the catheter was inserted. This isn't serious, but it may be sore for a few days. Occasionally, the wound can become infected. Keep an eye on it to check it's healing properly.
Your chest may also feel tender after the procedure, but this is normal and usually passes in a few days. If necessary, you can take paracetamol to relieve any pain.
thanks Pete
I had a fairly minor and intermittent ache for about 7-10 days after procedure, which I assumed was just the poking and prodding around, but would agree that calling 111 might help to allay your anxiety?
day 4 it’s all good now, no chest pain anyway… managed to tweak my back putting socks on! Feel like an old crock! 😂
