So after a few investigations and a few diagnosis terms I get a letter saying I have a 2:1 high grade heart block. The next appointment is in July. They have asked my doctor to prescribe some meds. I have looked it up but I still don’t understand what it means. I suffer with dizzy spells headaches and palpitations and I’m really sporty. Any advice would be welcomed.

It would appear you have a blockage in one of the arteries of your heart. Since you are not to be seen again until July, it suggests the blockage is not critical and may be managed by medication from your doctor which could mean blood thinning or a combination to manage the situation. The check is to see if you are holding your own or may benefit from other treatment, which could mean surgery. To be frank, I am just clutching at straws here since you need an appointment to see your GP for even with a suggestion from the consultant, the GP will not prescribe drugs without seeing you which is an ideal time to ask all of your questions "that you have written down on a piece of paper! for there will probably be many and you will forget some of them and then continue to worry. The good news is that you are now under the supervision of a consultant who will not sign you off until your health has improved greatly. As for exercise, well most of that is common sense, if it brings on a significant change to your health then stop - but again I would be guided by your GP. The main thing is do not worry - you are in good hands and it can only get better...................Could be a song title that!
Thank you very much. I do feel a bit reassured as they don’t want to see me urgently. I think I may have miss lead you on the ‘block’ part as I think it’s an electrical issue with the heart. I will contact the doctor after the bank holiday.
Hello and welcome to the forum! This is an area where I have little knowledge but this link may provide some background until you speak to your GP or someone with experience of the condition logs in:

Thank you! This makes more sense.
The electrical side is rather more complex than the plumbing (arteries and valves). There is a specific area of cardiology for this called electrophysiology studies. The aim of the drugs will be to reduce the level of the block. This can also help in diagnosis so I imagine they would like a period of drug treatment before they see you next hence the perceived delay.
