Hi there, I’ve had a ct angiogram for breathing difficulties, but nothing was found on the scan. If I were to go private and get a normal ct scan of my chest would they look for different stuff as apossed to the ct angiogram or is the ct angiogram just a more detailed version of a ct scan
Need the advice
Cheers
Chris

I have no idea if they would see anything different but if you are thinking about going private maybe who you would go with ask them as they should be able to tell you
Hi there, thanks for taking the time to reply to me… I’ve booked a consultation, so hopefully they will be able to clarify that. Still struggling with my breathing and it’s frustrating because only a year ago I was running ten miles, and now I’m struggling just walking the dog for ten minutes. Will keep you posted anyhow
I am glad you have booked a Consultation and hopefully get some answers
I know at this moment it will feel frustrating but hopefully soon they will know why and be able to give you the right treatment if needed and you will be back walking your dog with no breathing problems
CT scan and Angiogram are quite different . The angiogram is invasive . What’s interesting maybe is that they can produce different results or maybe more properly they are looking at the arteries in different ways. My CT scan showed mild atherosclerosis while my CT angiogram said no blockages. But I do have mild heart disease as confirmed by the CT scan!
