CT SCAN AND CT ANGIOGRAM

Hello again everyone.

A quick question. As you know I saw the Cardiologist Tuesday last week. He said that he would be referring me for a CT Scan and CT Angiogram to be done before Xmas as he wanted operation Feb/March next year.

I'm not going to do it yet but am wondering if and when I should perhaps start chasing those appointments.

Many thanks as always

Jane

Hi Jane -

Just thinking, you may not get the Scan / Angiogram until nearer the operation ..... they like to have them quite close to get the most up to date picture I believe. However, having said that, I would probably leave it a month or so since your consultation before chasing any appointments. All seems still to be running quite slowly. I was told on Oct 16 that I was on a waiting list for a CT scan (at The Brompton) and yet to hear of a date. Know it is hard though the waiting and the not knowing......

Take care.

Sarah

Thanks so much for replying Sarah. Yes I would've thought myself that they would like things pretty close together tbh because as you say things can change.

For what it's worth my Angiogram was on 11 June, CT Scan 6 July and then "the" telephone call on 13 July.

Operation 25 July

Hi Jane

If you don’t hear anything by the end of the month I would be inclined to phone Cardiologist secretary just to give a little nudge! Keeping you name in the forefront of her mind wouldn’t go amiss, being really nice wouldn’t go amiss either😂

Hope you hear really quickly Pauline

Thank you I am fine, been organising Christmas supermarket delivery this afternoon! Lots of slots had gone already. 😩 don’t feel very Christmassy yet. Must make the effort, did manage to send a couple of parcels to Australia 10 days ago, it’s taking much longer than normal so hope they get there on time our youngest granddaughters are there and they still look for parcels from Nana and Papa!

You take care of yourself watch out for that Ram😂

Best wishes Pauline

He remains ever lurking Pauline and I have absolutely no doubt that him and his 14 sidekicks (all Rams of varying sizes) plus those ewes are keeping me fit 😁.

They remain utterly disregarding my instructions... I was in a stable the other day.. I instructed them to stay out.. Needless to say they all poured in... Almost grinning 😁

Yes, I agree with the others replying about waits and waits. Where do you live Jane,? I was referred for a CT coronary angiogram in February 2021 and got an appointment in March 2021 at St Thomas, London. That was exceptionally quick although the result of angiogram was disappointingly inconclusive. I think you should chase it up.
