I finally have an appointment for a CT coronary angiogram, the non invasive one, next month. After my CT scan in July apparently the radiographer recalled me for the angiogram. Not that my consultant has ever bothered to talk with me to give me my test results and I only found out from the consultants coordinator that I was on the waiting list for one! I’ve read that this test isn’t as good as the invasive test so wondering what they’ll look for? Has anyone had this type and what did it show up? I was expecting the invasive angiogram so I’m a bit worried this other type will miss something? Thanks.

I had a Echocardiogram in June, then a CT Coronary Angiogram over 5 weeks ago, I have had no results from either, not spoken to anyone at all, had no results, so will contact GP this week to see what is happening- ( or not as the case my be.) I am also concerned that the CT angio is not as accurate as the invasive one. It is worrying me that I have this situation, ongoing symptoms but simply left with no response. it is not good enough.
Hi, I have had two angiograms and both times the cardiologist who did them came to see me and explain the findings before I went home. Different cardiologist each time. Maybe phone the secretary of the person who preformed the test and ask her about your results. Good luck
Thanks Plum53 his coordinator is not allowed to give results unfortunately. She said my consultant would speak to me once he had every test result. I’ve just spoken with her and she’s booked a telephone consultation for the end of November. I will ask the cardiologist when I have the scan next month. Thanks again
I agree. I had an ECG in June and I had the result straight away which was normal , then Echocardiogram and a CT scan at end of June with no results! I think consultants forget we are desperately waiting for these results. His coordinator is very helpful and it was her who told me last Monday that the radiographer wanted me back for the angiogram. Why didn’t the consultant tell me this? I rang my GP to see if they had results but they haven’t had anything since my first referral in June. I’m wondering if the noninvasive scan is because they didn’t spot anything too horrible! Good luck x
I’ve had both. The result from the CT angiogram lead to an invasive angiogram. The results from the two were really quite different as the perfusionist was surprised to find a 100% blocked RCA during the invasive angio so had to go to the specialist team. But all sorted now with stents. Life back to normal.
I had a CT angiogram and its found a 99% blockage of my LAD artery.I then went onto having an coronary angiogram which showed the same and I had a stent fitted so in my case the CT was accurate.
