Doxazosin

I am on 4 mg Doxazosin twice a day, combined with 2.5 mg Bendromethiazide and 100 mg Losartan. The Doxazosin was increased due to an increase in BP reading, and we opted for Doxazosin as at the time I had an enlarged prostate. The prostate has now been treated with a TURP operation. I am suffering from fatigue and tiredness and more often than not I am in bed at 8:30PM every night and can sleep for 10 hours or more. I need to get to the bottom of my tiredness and wondering if it could be the increase in the Doxazosin dosage. I can't say for sure if they are linked as I can't remember when I got the extra dose and I can't remember how long I have been unusually sleepy. These things creep up on you slowly making it very hard to make informed decisions.

well worth a discussion with your medical team. Possibly start with the pharmacist attached to your doctor’s group of surgeries (I understand most employ one or two). Ask receptionist.

Good morning Segovia123. Yes I am on Doxazosin 4mg. 1 in a morning and 1 at tea time. Feeling tired is a side effect of the tablets and I sleep fairly well at night but can still drop off for an hours nap 3 hours after having my breakfast. I am OK if I keep busy. But I have other health problems that cause tiredness as well. So not sure what is causing it. There's plenty more B.P tablets your doctor can give you. But the majority all have side effects. Brian
