Doxazosin

It’s almost 2 years since my heart attack and triple bypass.

I’m being started today on Doxazosin 1mg as my BP is high. I can only tolerate Amlodipine 5mg because of swelling ankles and legs and Ezetamide made my pulse go crazy. This had been ongoing for about a year. I take max dose of Ramipril.

Does this group have anything I should look out for with Doxazosin?

A second question.

I get a left side chest pain on and off (it is exactly over my heart and exactly the spot I had the pain when I had my HA. That was my only symptom) and at any time of day or night, with and without exercise. Echo and Stress Echo scans have both come back fine. I’m on Isosorbide Mononitrate now and that has helped a bit. My cardiologist has just yesterday said to stop Clopidogrel (I take aspirin) . I did question why I was still on both a year after the events. Didn’t get sn answer.🤷‍♀️

I wonder if a combination of Aspirin and Clopidogrel can cause the chest pain.

I have read a bit about Microvascilar Angina also.

Sorry for this long winded post but I would appreciate any comments ❤️

Hello. I am on Doxazosin 4mg tablets. I take 1 at morning and 1 at teatime for my high blood pressure and also Chronic kidney disease. I have been on them for 2 years and have had no problems. Amlodipine I had a bad reaction to them after 2 days. But we are all different with different tablets. Good luck. Brian

Clopidogrel part of your question. I have been taking it for many years as a migraine preventative ( had to stop before OHS but was prescribed aspirin too for 6 month post surgery) I haven’t had any pain symptoms at all from Cloppy Dog. I hope you get to the root of the problem quickly. Best wishes.
