I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrilation last september and after an overnight in hospital was put on atenolol 25mg,for the first few weeks until I got the all clear to go on blood thinners as I had a small cerebral anneurism. So, after about a month I was put on Apixaban,5mg twice a day. I have a low heart rate,( below 60) so reduced atenolol to 12.5mg. I had no other symptoms when I was just on the atenolol but soon after going on the apixaban I started getting hand tremors and an inner shaking feeling. Numerous visits to the doctors have resulted in me coming off both atenolol and apixaban for a week to see if there was any change, which there wasn't so I was back on the apixaban but suggested trying propanolol as a better beta blocker option to treat the tremors, this was about two weeks ago but still getting the finger tremors and inner shakes.
So, was it just coincidence that these tremors started when I went on the apixaban?
