I am 65 years old. I had one stent in 2021. I have had left side chest pain since than. I had a stress echo last year which was normal. My cardiologist says its muscular. I can't seem to get rid of it what ever I do. Its better in the summer and worse in the winter. It can start when walking but gets better, but no breathing problems. Can last for hours but does not spread. I can go up/down stairs without problems . Any ideas what it could be and any solutions/suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks for any one who can help.

well indeed it could be muscular. Do you do any exercise? If you build up your muscles - gradually, not weightlifting necessarily- they may cease to hurt.
On utube, I do Joe Wickes for Seniors nearly every day, this tends to keep your muscles and joints active and especially helps your mind to settle.
Hi there,I have previous heart history, heart attack with stents. I have been experiencing chest, shoulder blade and neck pain for a couple of weeks off and on, however not whilst I was exercising. I attended A&E last Thursday evening after the pain got worse and didn't respond to my GTN spray. I was kept in overnight after my Troponin levels were at 40 which they considered slightly elevated. After further testing over 24 hours they diagnosed acid reflux as being the cause of the pains, and not cardiac related.. They have increased my Omeprazole dose for one month and discharged me. The pain has improved dramatically since the Omeprazole increase and I feel a lot better. I am glad I got it checked out and recommended you speak to a medical professional for peace of mind.
