Blue lighted to JR Oxford last Friday, straight into angio , given stents and put on cc ward,Home on Tuesday with bag of meds, lot of changes from previous and been taking for 4 hrs
Drs recommended l take Dapagliflozin, new drug to protect and enhance heart - so first night home taking meds soon started to get a very upset stomach and really bad pains in abdomen
Dr did warn of side effects but it was so bad, l am not taking them again, waiting to hear back from GP on advice he can give but will trust my own judgement

I started Dapagliflozin back in September - for the first week or two, I suffered from a couple of stomach issues (I was passing 'rusty brown water' at times!), but it settled.
Whilst I'm not a medical expert, I think it just took my body a couple of weeks to tolerate it - and I had been warned that both Entresto and Dapagliflozin could take a little time to settle down!
Worth speaking to the pharmacist, maybe? - but my experience is that it's normal in the beginning - but worth persevering as I feel so much better for it.
As above both Dapa and Entresto can have 'funky' side effects for a while but settle down after a week or so. Dapa is also a diabetes drug and you end up peeing sugar which may or may not be relevant. The GP route is best but tbh I would probably try it for another night or so as it may be unrelated.
