Hospital letter- scan not up to standard?!

Didn't see that coming! Yearly scan, 3 months late & now has to be repeated🤷🏻‍♀️ No results available for GP review this week either!

I suppose this happens sometimes but not in my experience until now. 'No immediate concern' not the most reassuring wording they could have used either❤️‍🩹😳🤞🏽

Just wondering how common this was? Have others had similar?

like you, i have not heard of this before but it sounds like this service is doing it's best to put right an issue they have recognised

in case it is of any reassurance the reason is probably to do with the equipment or the sonographer - poorly calibrated or maintained euipment can give innaccurate readings as well as operator error

a sonographer told me that something as simple as using an unfamiliar or different machine can affect the measurements made by the sonographer

i hope your next scan comes quickly and that you have a gentle sonographer

Exactly - I bet the machine is out of calibration/compliance nothing sinister.
