Left chest muscle twitching quite alot. Is this a symptom of the heart failure?

Just curious to see if anyone has experienced the left chest muscle twitching like how an eye lid would twitch when your tired. I have heart failure and do experience chest pains. This twitching has been happening for a good couple weeks now so that's why I ask. It is the outter chest so the muscle itself. The heart beats normally when happening. No pains. Nothing. Just twitching. Is this something to get checked out for?

Thanks

Hi theonethatgotaway1

I can understand that it might cause worry but I believe that muscle twitching (if painless) is usually due to a lack of sleep, a nutrients or electrolyte deficiency or stress.

If it persists then it may be worth contacting your GP in the new year, just for peace of mind if nothing else.

I hope it passes quickly and you feel better soon.

Best wishes

Hi thereI had a lot of muscle awful muscle twitching / spasms including in my heart area a few weeks back. They all stopped 2 days after I stopped the statins. Antrovastatin in my case !

Ah dear. Was the heart itself twitching and beating all funny?

My case seems to be just the outside muscle. The left pec/chest muscle. Still doing it today. I mean there is nothing that comes with it. The usual pains I have with heart failure and stuff but nothing at the same time as the twitching.

Yes it was the 'outside' muscles. Not had any since!
