Tingling fingers left hand, random sharp chest pains. Is this a sign of something bad coming?

I have heart failure and i have had chest pains over the last two years, mostly sharp pains randomly with no known trigger. I have also had tingling or pins and needles feeling in my left hand, fingers at times and even wake up during the night with this feeling sometimes in one arm and leg. Is this a sign of the heart failure itself or something worse coming? Possibly side effect of the many meds i take?

Anyone else experience this?>

hi - I’m going to be no help with this because I was just about to post the same thing on behalf of my husband. Before the pains started I made him make an appointment with the cardiologist. The appointment is today so I will feed back when I know more.

You could try ringing the BHF helpline and speaking to one of the very helpful cardiac nurses. Or contact your GP. My suggestion is to write down everything you are concerned about before you speak or see a healthcare professional, so you don't miss anything out. Hope all goes well

Any health issues like that should be discussed with your GP, so I suggest you book an appointment. To quote the old saying' Better safe than sorry'.

Dear You,

A warm welcome to the forum and your first post, I hope that you find us supportive and informative.

The best rule to always work to { as taught me by my Heart nurse }is " if its not the normal for you then get it checked out " and with your history of heart failure that means sooner than later.

Phone the Drs/heart nurse or 111, get that ball rolling and take that niggling worry off yourself, give that to the experts that are used to dealing with it.

Take care and we are looking forward to hearing your story

hi - I promised I would update you. My husband has been advised by his cardiologist that it is bisoprolol that is causing all his issues and he has been told to wean himself off of it. Obviously I wouldn’t recommend you do that but I do suggest that you speak to someone about your issues and get the help you need.

My husband has been plodding on for the last three years since having open heart surgery thinking it was his heart issues still and even though I said that I thought it was the medication he didn’t get the help he needed. I could say a few choice words but am glad his mind is at rest now and he’s getting it sorted
