I have just seen heart nurse for my results for blood test /cholestrol everything good my cholesterol gone down from 5.9 to 2.8 bloods good liver etc but they said left side of my heart is under performing ( 45 )but this read out was from when I had my heart attack 9weeks ago I have to have another chest X-ray don’t know when but they said it’s normal to have a under performing heart when you have heart attack ( hence that’s why I had heart attack ) but my next chest X-ray they said they are confident next results will be back to normal because of my changed diet cholesterol reading just a bit worried ( I’m a worrier ) cheers Mickey hodge

I hope you see an improvement in your heart function. A change in diet and lifestyle should certainly help.👍

How did you get your cholesterol down so much? Was it statins?

Statins but I have cut out a lot of foods ie white bread biscuits cakes ( had a few over Xmas tho ) cut beer just have a drink when we go out now not every night in house go walking with wife but the one thing that I couldn’t believe was how much sugar I was having a day 10 cups per day 2 sugars in each my son showed me how much sugar I was having a day by putting 20spoonfuls in a cup it filled the cup up over half I was shocked other than that I am feeling absolutely great thank you

Great result on the cholesterol!

Keep in mind that a normal EF is something like 50 - 70%. So 45% is only just a little low.
