I was diagnosed a few years ago with "heart faulire", 6 years ago it was assessed as severe, then a year moderate, now it's been changed tú a minor impairment. I've now been discharged from my local cardiac service. I've read that improvement is a rare thing with heart failure so how the hell did that happen?
Hi! New here. : I was diagnosed a few... - British Heart Fou...
Hi! New here.
amazing!
Amazing ! That's incredible.
Wow it sounds like a lovely Christmas miracle! So happy for you.
whatever happened, it sounds amazing! You must have been doing something well!
Apart from walking every day, accupuncture and herbs i haven't really done anything.
What herbs did you take? Danshen is a very popular herb in China for cardiovascular issues? and why did you have heart failure in the first place, it maybe that your body has been able to stimulate some of the heart muscles cells to renew, and deal with the senescent cells in the heart muscles, rare but not impossible,
That's amazing news! It's encouraging hearing a story like yours that shows there is hope and we shouldn't give up 🤗
Hi and Merry Christmas. I too am in your position. First diagnosed with severe heart failure, then moderate now discharged from cardiac services. My EF is at the bottom of the normal range and has stayed there for a couple of years now. I’m fit and well and very grateful. Hopefully our experiences give hope to others ❤️
CONGRATULATIONS...Hope you continue to feel so good. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year 😊
This is amazing news!! I wonder if you could tell us your secret? 😅 Have you been exercising regularly to strengthen your heart? Eating particular 'heart healthy foods'?!
I was diagnosed with severe heart failure only a month ago, 2 days before I gave birth to my first baby. I have an EF of 30% and they found
50% of my beats were ectopic - I had ablation to remove these, which was successful!
It is so wonderful to hear a success story! What a wonderful Christmas gift for you 😊
I took my meds diligently, but also stopped taking my statin atorvistatin as i had unfavourable liver and blood sugar blood results it also gave me quite bad muscle and joint pain. So in August i just started walking 10000 steps a day. I also went to see a, traditional chinese medical practioner had accupuncture, tuina massage and herbal tea. By the time i had my scan heart function was considered minor impairment, I've now been discharged from the cardiac service. Haven't changed diet or lifestyle one but bit apart from walking.
hi there, severe heart failure last year,35% EF, that was September.
December after stent and meds 3 months later discharged by cardiology into the care of my cardiac team with nothing to mention on my echo and an EF of 52%.
December this year final review with the local cardio team and discharged, with a keep the exercise up and weigh occasionally and occasional BP checks.
So all good.
However you celebrate I wish you all the best at this time of year.
Thars awesome!
Great new Peter. Hope it stays that way.
Were you offered a different statin to replace Atorvastatin? You don't win the Lotto without a ticket 🤔
That is brilliant news, I think your walking has definitely helped, well done.
Great news Peter hope it inspires the many people on here.I was diagnosed as stage two heart failure with dilated cardiomyopathy.I am now doing more walking and cycling than I was before, about ten miles very rarely miss a day.Ive put myself in stage none whatever the weather moving on up.
So happy for you!
Amazing. It is great to have good news. The wondersof the human body
wonderful news and have your cholesterol levels improved, despite not taking statins ?
I have high cholesterol (LDL) and statins don’t appear to agree with my liver, so I’d be interested to know how you get on.
I was diagnosed with severe heart failure 32%.I had a double bypass in January for angina and was told my heart failure probably wouldn't get any better. I cycle or walk almost every day and keep to my meds. I had a scan about six weeks ago, heart function up to 51%, my cardiologist tells me that's not far off normal.
Great news bro! Hope you find a job and everything else gets back to normal. Best wishes for an excellent new year!
Thats great news. Stories like yours keep me going.
