peeing

hi just wondering if people had experienced peeing a lot in any conditions ? I know they say it’s a build up of fluid that causes it I must of been going twice an hour the last few days find it really strange

My legs don’t look massively swollen but just wondering if this fluid build up could still occur without it being perticulary visible

Thanks

Hi, I experience more going to the loo with the meds I take. However if you are going a few times an hour that sounds like an awful lot. Suggest talking to your GP. Hope it soon gets sorted, take care, Judi

It could be a water infection? Definitely see your GP x

As Yumz199725 says it could be a water infection, so speak with your GP.

Hi go a lot but I’m on furosemide because my legs were swollen. If you are not meds that make you pee a lot you should see the doc

if your meds include diuretics their function is to get rid of excess fluids, so you will pee more frequently

There are a lot of things that can cause frequent peeing, and your first port of call is your GP As this is one of the issues I have can I offer you some advice? First GP I asked told me I had an overactive bladder, and directed me to a site that gave information on how to retrain your bladder. The starting point is to create 2 charts, one to record what you drink, when you drink it, and the volume of it, the second to record what times you pee and the volume of that. I used a simple sheet of paper and a pencil, drew a column for each day, divided into hours then for the volume passed just noted the amount against the hour, for the consumption I used an initial, T for tea, W for water, R for ribena, C for cocoa. I kept to specific cups/glasses so I knew the volume, 250 mls for water, 200 mls for Ribena, etc. Total up at the end of each day. This can give your GP useful information, and gives a starting point for investigation.

One last thing, don't be too alarmed if you seem to be passing more volume than you are consuming, there are a lot of foods with a high water content.

Good luck.

Hi since medication I also pee alot, sometimes feels like 3 to 4 times an hour. I think its my body's way of preventing water build up.But I think it's best to check with gp ie Prostate, Diabetes etc.

Atrial Natriuretic Peptide? You don't say what your heart condition is?

All the best.

Does your wee look any different? Darker, lighter or foamy? These can be signs of an infection so speak to your gp. Hope all goes well x

I wee a lot when I have the heart racing, they told me it's because it speeds all the processes up in the body

I have stage 3 kidney disease and mild CAD and moderate LVH. I too pee alot especially after taking my blood pressure medication, although I don't think there's a connection as some nights and that's the worst time I can be going three or four times in one hour and each time I say to myself I'm not getting up again I need to sleep! Needless to say my bladder doesn't take any notice.Hope you get some answers but I would day say speak to your GP. I've been like this for years and have spoken to my GP in the past.
