I believe the resting heart rate should be 60- 100 bpm. When at rest I often get palpitations and my Apple Watch shows that sometimes my heart rate goes as low as 37 for 10 minutes or more. Should I be worried?

Hi Cinderella16
It’s hard to say but I think if it’s concerning you then it may be worth raising with your GP.
Are you symptomatic when these dips occur? If so, what sort of symptoms do you experience and how much do they effect you?
Best wishes

Do you have a blood pressure cuff to also measure your blood pressure.? It's helpful to know if both measurements are being affected. If your heart rate regularly falls below 37bpm at rest and lasts more than a minute you could be suffering from bradycardia. This is the low heart rate problem were Tachycardia is the high heart rate issue.
Interestingly both conditions cause similar symptoms , dizziness , light headedness , palpitations, thumping if the heart in your chest , a feeling of anxiety with no apparent reason, swings in temperature and sometimes nausea , vertigo or a feeling of your head spinning.
Sometimes we can all have a blip of very high or very low heart rate, even very healthy people can get dizzy when they get up too quickly , but if it is happening regularly and causing symptoms you do need to contact your GP and get a proper examination .
If you haven't been diagnosed with a problem yet you will need advice and help.
If you are already being treated for a cardiac or other health issue it could indicate that you need to have an adjustment in your dose of medication or there has been a change in your condition which needs addressing and there are so many reasons for this it requires a Doctor to rule out the possibilities and find the cause.
I think you should arrange to see your GP as soon as you can. If your pulse is too low (especially for 10 mins) you’re not getting enough oxygen to supply what your body requires, especially your heart, which could lead to problems. Best wishes.
I would get to a cardiologist for evaluation. The palpitations are probably irregular heartbeats. The cardiologist would probably order a 24-hour monitor to determine if there's anything dangerous occurring, such as pauses.
Morning, I experienced similar. My GP thought my Apple Watch would not be accurate. But after manual checks he had to eat his words. In fact it was much more accurate than his Fitbit smart watch. An ECG showed First degree heart block. He then tried to ‘bat’ me off saying athletes often had a similar low pulse rate. Problem was my BMI was around 32/33!and having gone through OHS, I’m no athlete and never have been. I eventually managed to see a Cardiologist who prescribed Doxazosin. In my case my BP was still around 130 so this new medication was to lower my BP to 120 or below and also raise my pulse rate. It is a dual effect drug. Since then my problem has resolved and no more alerts.
Worth getting checked out as medications such as bisoprolol can reduce your heat rate so it may be a side effect of something your on.
I'm pretty fit and my resting heart rate is 43, I checked that with the doctor and it was fine. Gives you peace of mind having it checked out
Id just see a GP and get the proper advice👍
