IBS & coated Asprin

hi all,

Since changing to the coated Asprin around 3 weeks ago my IBS has flared up. I am having terrible cramps. I was wandering if anybody else has found this with coated Asprin. I have also restarted work in the last 3 weeks, my husband says it could be related to the stress/ anxiety of starting work. I just don’t know 🤷‍♀️

Hello :-)

I suffer with IBS and as we know it can be a complex thing when we get a flare up working out what has caused it

I went on coated Aspirin and still on it as the other I felt was making my IBS worse but with IBS what suits one does not always suit another

I do feel my IBS has been a total mess daily ever since I was put on a cocktail of meds but also know I need to take them

If your Doctor would not mind or there is no reason why you cannot take the normal Aspirin maybe try that and see if it settles down if it does not then your Husband possibly has got ir right the return to work has caused you stress which we know stress and anxiety is a main culprit to give us a flare up

Well done though in getting well enough to return to work and I hope you find what is causing your flare up and it settles down as I know unless you suffer with IBS know one knows how debilitating it can be

Let us know how you get on :-) x
