Blood pressure……need advice.

I have Heart failure and take Carvedilol, Dapagliflozin, Entresto (replaced Ramipril) and Spironolactone.

Consequently my bp has dropped very low as required. (102/70)

Yesterday and today it has gone up to

Around 126/ 80 +

Why would that happen ? On same doses and not doing anything differently.

Panicking a bit !

Any advice welcome.

I think that might be the Entresto, I was 107/65 solid for ages, when they upped me to the top level dose I had occasional 90's up to 130's along with very minor dizzy spells. The good news part is that I have stabilised and back to high 100's with no dizziness, maybe like me you just need to get used to it.

Hi I don’t take carvedilol I take bisoprolol and my blood pressure is always very low. I take all the others you mentioned plus I take diuretic Bumetanide. All these lower blood pressure.

They wanted me to take 2 Entresto twice a day but I couldn’t tolerate it I kept feeling dizzy and passing out. So I have been taking 1 twice a day for 5 years.

Sometimes my blood pressure drops really low 80s/60s for no reason, but it never goes above 106/70s.

Keep monitoring it and if it keeps doing that if I was you I would see my doctor. I know some people find it difficult getting appointments, hopefully you’re not one.

Even the chemist take blood pressures. Maybe you can explain what’s going on and ask them to take it for you when it raises, and they can refer you to doctor, or consult with the doctor. Most of the chemists hold minor clinics and can prescribe medications through prescriptions and consult with Gps.

personally i would only be concerned if this increase is persistant - has anything else in your life changed in the last couple of days, diet activity, stress etc? are you maintaining your hydration? where i am we are having some unseasonably warm weather and it's easy to forget to adjust fluid intake!

Thank you all. Today my bp has gone down to normal for me (low) so all is well and I won’t panic next time.

I’m afraid GPS are are rare as hens’ teeth in this neck of the woods !

Apparently the perfect BP is 120/80 but I am always about 115/68. Entresto has been known to drop your BP. I always have a kip in the morning after I have taken my drugs. Helps a lot. As always, it's worth getting it checked out by doc.
