So after my CT Angio last week I've had a letter through today offering me a F2F consultation next month on the 20th. Not sure if this is a good sign or a bad sign so my anxiety is going to be kicking off again!
I've called outpatients/cardiology department and asked for them to put me on cancellation list as they called me yesterday offering me a cancellation for an "initial consult" from the letter my GP sent months back, but when I said I'd had a CT Angio last week she withdrew the offer.
I know nobody has a crystal ball here but thoughts? With it being nearly 7 weeks away is it likely not to be serious or is it just down to how busy the hospital/dept is.
EDIT: Just had a call they have offered me a cancellation appt for this Friday 9:15am!

Good luck for Friday! It’s a difficult one gauging what a wait means. Waiting for appointments is pants!
I can't help but think if all was OK that I'd just get a letter saying all good. My anxiety is kicking in (I've been doing so well too keeping it at bay).
Hi I am a newbie too and the stress and worry is the worst thing. I had 2 nhs scans and eventually paid for a private scan showing lad blocked and severe stenosis in other 2 so now I am down for angiogram in few weeks time. My cardiologist has said it is not for stents so guessing I will end up on the big table !Anyway I did not reply to talk about me it was to say that I totally understand how you feel it is all such a shock and a worry and like you every phone call or letter I go on one imagining all sorts my latest one is that I will not make it through the angiogram and that one is hard to shake I cried solid for 3 days just worrying about everything. All I can say is that I got so much support and advice on here from complete strangers and thats what has got me through the past week I cant offer advice as I am a total newbie myself but I do know there are lots of lovely people on here who have been through everything we are going through. Good luck for tomorrow morning and please post updates x
Congratulations on getting an appointment on Friday and Best Wishes on the outcome! 😊
Would it help if you thought about the F2F as an opportunity to ask any questions that you might have? Or to add/update your doctor on any symptoms that you have had recently, or that might have changed since your tests. I always think that it is a good thing to be able to see the doctor’s face as you speak with him/her.
It is difficult, but try to relax today. Maybe you could jot down some questions that you might have for the doctor. Maybe get outside into the fresh air and sunshine for awhile, or watch a favorite movie—just whatever can help you to calm some.
I really wish you the best for tomorrow, and please let us all know how it goes. ❤️
Good news my CT showed that my heart looks normal and that my arteries are clear! Cardiologist talked me through my symptoms, tests and their results and gave me reassurance that I'm alright.
We discussed my tachycardia and my palpitations and how they have not been a problem since I've been on bisoprolol. Her advice is to stay on bisoprolol for the foreseeable at the very least until my anxiety and depression are sorted (which I'm making good progress with) and then I'd I want to, I can look at weaning very very slowly off it.
She has suggested that I have another appointment in a few months to see how I'm getting on and if my symptoms are still under control.
So all in all a successful visit! I'm going to start the gym now that I'm reassured I'm not going to have a HA any minute and continue with my lifestyle changes.
I'll keep checking in here as it's a great community and a good source of advice.
