ECHO results

Hi I have heart failure and about 2 weeks ago I had to have a ECHO on my heart and haven't had the results yet. It is my 2nd ECHO. Does anyone know how long the results take to get to your consultant. Sorry I haven't replied to everyone's messages to me but I've just been busy. Hope everyone is coping not too badly. It is really useful to be able to ask questions from people who have heart problems too. Thanks to everyone that has replied to my chats in the past. I do appreciate it. Hope everyone has a good week.

I’ve previously waited between 1 week to several months before I have got results in the past. However, I would say that if it is an urgent matter or something serious, they will be in touch with you sooner rather than later. If you haven’t heard from them after a week, you can call the department or your GP, depending on who has requested the test and ask if the results are available.

All the best.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably phone the cardiologist soon and see if they have the results yet. Hope you're OK. I know having a heart condition is very scary and overwhelming at times. Take care.

They say no news is good news. I am sure if there was a problem they would have been intouch with you. Brian
