cardiology referral booking?

I was referred to cardiology 2 months ago but to book my appointment I have to ring then leave voicemail with booking reference.

Your suppose to ring every two weeks if you don’t hear anything from them

Getting fed up as there is no way to confirm there processing theses or even receiving them

That sounds really frustrating and I know personally that it wouldn't help with my anxiety.Could your GP contact them on your behalf maybe?

I as referred by my GP so not sure. I may follow up with them and see if they can. I’m trying to ring on different days to see if that makes a difference

As someone who is terrified of hospitals I know that I would possibly try once and then never again. It seems like a really poor system that they operate. Try your GP and if they don't help would PALS be able to??Good luck x

I would be getting so frustrated! 💔 I hope they get back to you soon. I had to do something similar to get an appointment for an MRI I had to keep on and on at them until eventually they told me I had to phone up the other hospital were I was having the scan and I got the appointment the week later 😕😬🤔.

Yeah I tried searching for others clinics on nhs referral website and it says this my only option. I’m wondering if there’s another number where I can speak to someone 🤔

Yeah definitely try a different number I had to phone two different numbers and finally got through to the right department was so stressful.

At the hospital switchboard ask to speak to the medical secretaries of the cardiology department. If that gets you nowhere talk to the hospital PALS team.
