having trouble locating disopryamide (Rythmodan) -100mg capsules - pharmacy unable to offer any advice. Waiting on GP - have enough for a short time - pharmacy says not withdrawn just waiting on new supplies coming through - anyone have any idea when this might be- looked few weeks ago and found info which said early sept but can’t find it now. Have had SVT all my life so starting to fret a little now.

I'm in same position with 100mg. Fortunately I have stockpiled a few as had similar position in 2009 when they became totally unavailable.

I phoned the distributors last week and was told there was a manufacturing delay (France) and they were hoping to get supplies in September. I believe that 150mg are not now manufactured due to lack of demand so hope that this will not follow the same fate. They are quite rarely prescribed these days.

Thank you I’m at my wits end. Really worried. I have a supply to last for a while but panicking a bit about the long term. Have been to see me GP.

Don't worry/panic about things you can do nothing about. Get in touch with your cardiologist who would have been responsible for prescribing in the first instance. He will gave a back up plan. Most doctors are informed of shortages etc

Thank you. Spoke to Neon healthcare today and they are saying end of October but no firm date. They knew what I asking about before I got the words out.

Yes I had the same reaction! Not much explaining to do.So it's now the end of October . Oh well I'll have to have a count of my supply.....don't think I'll last out! Will contact cardiologist nearer the time for instructions which should prove interesting as I've tried everything else.

If you’re under a cardiologist you can always contact your hospital, like I did with one of my meds, and they arranged for me to collect from hospital pharmacy, which I did. A day later my local pharmacist telephoned and told me they managed to get me some so I always make sure I’m in reserve.
